About the PSA

The PSA Student Film Competition invites Wilson County students to use their creativity and voice to produce short public service announcements that inspire positive choices, promote kindness, and build awareness around important social issues. In a recent community briefing with the Wilson Daily Times, Dr. Tiffany Tyson emphasized the competition’s impact: “This contest gives our students a platform to share powerful messages with their peers and the broader community. It’s about more than film — it’s about leadership, resilience, and using creativity to shape a healthier, kinder future.” This initiative empowers youth to lead with innovation while strengthening connections between schools, families, and the community.

Who Can Enter

Wilson County students ages 10–18 (solo or teams of up to 3).

Key Date

Submission Deadline: October 4, 2025.
Winner announced October 15, 2025

Drawing for the first prize will be February 16, 2023

Drawing for the second prize will be February 23, 2023

Drawing for the third prize will be March 2, 2023.
